Patreon Update (June 2021)

Hey there everyone! I got some updates for you all, and they're both pretty important, so I'd appreciate it if you could read this thoroughly.

July Break - I'll be taking a break from my Patreon in July. If you're currently pledged, you will not be charged for July at all, so you can stay pledged and you won't be charged again until August when I resume my Patreon again.

The reason for this is pretty simple! I need time to catch up, and time to breathe! I've done my best to keep up with everything poll-related, but you may have noticed I've struggled to keep up. This will give me time to do so.

I imagine some stories might trickle into early July, but since they were originally meant to be released in June, I'll still be posting them. There won't be any of the usual poll content in July though, which is why I am not charging. 

To help with my overall workload, I have decided not to have a Creator Poll this month, but the biweeklies will still happen. Expect the usual amount of stories this month as any other.

Commissions Update: Schedule, Discounts, and Pricing - I'm still planning on opening and accepting commissions in July, though I won't work on them until August onwards. I plan to accept an amount that is manageable, with a promise of everything done by the end of October, most likely.

Because of this, it will be difficult to retain priority slots, so I will be dropping them. As compensation, I will retain the tier discount for commissions, albeit at a 50% rate (e.g Gold Tier will give you a $5.50 discount, rather than an $11 discount), rather than dropping it which was my original plan.

One decision I have decided to make is to raise the prices of commissions by a small amount. Right now, $1 equated to 150 words, but $1 will now equate to 125 words. It's not a significant increase, but it will help me a lot. To share another example, a 5000-word fic would presently be $33.33, but the new cost would make it $40. 

Final Notes - I know these decisions aren't particularly positive ones, but they will benefit me a lot in the short-term and long-term, so I hope everyone finds them acceptable! 

On the plus side, I will be releasing a new story later today, so look forward to that!
