2024 Wrap up post !

Hello everyone

2025 is near so it's time to wrap up this fantastic year. I'm still the most lucky guy to have this work and it's all thanks to you guys. Your support, kind words and presence is hearthwarming and i'm honored to do my best for you. Loved all the sharing and talking we got all along this year and i cant wait for more. You guys are still here after years and it's the best motivation i got. I improved again i think and i m working to improve again to have the best minis for you. Thanks everyone <3

Claybeast is now in it 4th year and that's cool as hell ! This year i've been trying a lot of new and original design to push myself further and i think i've done quite ok.

I'm still super lucky to have Qtapa and Zacharias, my 2 friends helping me testing and refining the files so you guys have the best products in the end. They keep working hard for you and will have their special Tribe tier soon !

Well, it's time to recap this year.

In 2024, i've been working on 3 factions mainly.

First i finished the last bits of the Ogre part of the SONS OF THE EVERFEAST. I cant stand that they were based on a stream joke and now we have this massive range ready to print. I've loved working on those and i'm inlove with their little Trogg Friends ! But while i thought i was done with those, well i realised i wanted more from this theme and someone asked me about the Giants... So here we now ALSO have a full range of massive Gargants for the Everfeast crew and man, those where my biggest challenge this year. Working on such big models that take a lot of time to do and to make them different while linked was really hard. In the end this was a super cool journey and i'm proud of those ( damn the Behymir lord is one of my fav so far ! )

Then the main army for 2024 was the SAND LORDS. Few years ago , my wife wanted an army with cool animals and elves so we talked a bit and draw the main lines for this range. 2024 saw the full range sculpted and it also had a lot of challenges as lot's of models where quite frail and floating. While not that a fan of sculpting some of those, they also have some of my favorite models like the Mystic carpeteer, the Phoenix or the WindJinns. While this range is soon to be finished as it last wave is next month, i might add some random wave to add units when i'll have time for it !

Finally the CRYPT NIGHTMARES made a great comeback as i've been working quite a lot onto it. First i expanded the vampire range with more cool models and one that is clearly my top 5 models i ever sculpted, the Gorious overlord. I've been asked quite a lot to do a Ghoul king and i wasnt into it at all as i had no idea how to do it "my way" but i gave it a try and i really like it in the end, one more thanks to the community. The 2nd part of the Undead range was all about expanding the Bone creatures and i cant wait to go further on those ... :D

Also this year saw 2 winners for the painting contest and i had to do both fantastic models. Remo'jai , the Headhunter trolls was a blast to work on and might be the start of a new faction ( depending on your votes !) and the Geisha Vampire bust was also another challenge as i'm not used to sculpt bust and " human faces ".

I also did some fun free models for Valentine, Christmas and Easter. The welcome pack changed early 2024 so it includes more models from different factions.

The good things is now that i'm finally done with both SAND LORDS and SONS OF THE EVERFEAST which mean 2025 main army will probably be brand NEW.

So that mean that the Battle royal vote will be a very cool topic to follow.

Now it's time for the 2025 Roadmap.

I got few things that will come next year and i'm sure about it.

First the final wave for the SAND LORDS will come in january.

Then i'll add from time to time Waves for the CRYPT NIGHTMARES as there is SOOOOO much to do with those.

Also i got a bonus wave for an old army that will come early next year... surprise surprise on which one !!

Finally the SHADOW STALKERS case. I love this faction but feels a bit trapped into the ghost side of it. I really want it to expand and i'll try to see what i can do to have at least few waves this year for those !

So the main army will be from the votes, prepare yourself for it ! I'll post a big poll so you have all the ideas and concept i have in mind for possible new army or expanding some that got their " test models " done.

I'll also discuss more with the community on how to improve Claybeast creation to it next level this year so feel free to join socials and discord.

What a program !!

2024 will the GROVE GUARDIANDS bundles out as there is new tools on mmf and we'll have our yearly painting contest running again.
