That previous commission got me wanting to further experiment applying black inking to originally 'lineless' art. I've yet to post the full skyla set outside of here, so I figured I'd test it out on here. I'm liking it so far, so I'm going to try applying it to others.
Is it time for lineart to make a comeback in my style...? perhaps some here and there. The more 'shape and color construction'-based process I begun to approach with the lineless style was faster, easier to draw, and perhaps made drawing overall more enjoyable which is why I can put out more art than before. But also I remember how much having some black contrast can make a drawing pop. Perhaps the question is 'how do I find an approach that is more enjoyable?'
There's still much to experiment on, but experimenting on one's methods and approach is exactly part of the fun in the artistic process!
