Merry Christmas and December Pause

Hey Everyone - Just a blog post and update here today. I'll get you the TL;DR out of the way early here in case you don't wanna read:

Pausing December payments as I'm not doing a poll next month + need a bit of a break anyway. Have a happy holidays and see you in January for more art!

Here's the long form:

Well we managed to get through most of another year here and survive again. First, I wanna say thank you everyone for all your support over this year and I hope I've been able to deliver onto even a fraction of everyone's expectations. My art is definitely the biggest thing I have in my life, and getting better and seeing that people enjoy it and hopefully making people happy is really what drives me. It's been fun doing the character polls this year and getting to draw all sorts of things, and it's helped me grow a lot for sure. That's all thanks to you guys supporting me and being a part of this.

That said, I'm going to take next month off from doing character polls and work on some personal stuff as well. You might have noticed I haven't posted an update on Rosaria here yet - I'm coloring her now, so she'll be done soon! - but between the holidays and being due on a lot of other artwork I promised people, I need to focus on those things too. Plus I'm going on vacation this week to visit some friends out west, so I'll be gone for a full week already! Anything I work on and finish I'll still post though, you guys will get to see that for free.

To be honest, I'm looking forward to having a break. The past year has been hard for me while I tried to grow my audience, get better at art, and juggle a bunch of my passions without really having a lot of external success at those things. I'm still going to keep doing these things and trying them, because without that, I don't know what I have left, but I'm also planning on trying to fulfill a lot of goals next year. I don't mean Patreon related either - my fiancée and I are planning on finally getting legally married and getting a house next year. I'm still hoping I can grow more here, of course.

There have definitely been some times where I've wanted to quit drawing and quit doing the Patreon this year, but I guess I can be glad I didn't. I'm hoping this break and a chance to just work on my own art without having expectations hovering over my head will help me destress and create something way better than I have in the past.

Like I said, look forward to the Rosaria pic. If I get anything else drawn, I'll post it here too. Until then, see y'all in 2023.
