INNER CIRCLE - Seeing Old Content Recirculate

Some thoughts about seeing people share old content from over the years with renewed interest.

Fuck I relate to this video so heavy

Ryan

Thank you for elaborating on your excitement about the future. Once, you told us that you weren't afraid of death, and I caught a sparkle of deep sadness in your eyes at that moment. That pricked me in the very heart, and I have wished this excitement about the future for you ever since. I used to have it too, you know, but then I lost it. And, now, I need to get it back. _You_ inspire me to get it back. 🖤

it’s so interesting to see you say that you prefer the broader opinion of you to NOT be in unanimous agreement of you being funny because i (possibly naively) historically thought that was the goal! i remember commenting once that you were always well received on my timeline, and now as i reflect on that i’m starting realize that you could have had disdain towards that opinion LMAO. in fact, i have been wondering if similar comments like those have been the catalyst for you pushing back and testing the boundaries for your what resonates in your audience and what doesn’t land. when you said you wanted controversy, i figured that would have been with people outside of your audience. it’s so interesting to see it’s also applicable to controversies/disagreements about your content and the morality of it within your own community. oh brother blah blah blah ANYWAYS this was such a fantastic video and i love hearing what’s going on in your head. the vulnerability at the end pleasantly caught me by surprise, and i’m so thankful to have been introduced to you and your voice. thanks so much for sharing it with us!! <3

And yes, I’ve seen a resurgence of people discussing “classic Dan Hentschel” on twitter. If I had to pick my favorites, it would probably be the “Send a long voice message with a gunshot at the end to see who cares for you” for short form and “My viral tweet got me fired” for longer form.

I don’t know why, but this video made me weirdly happy. I shouldn’t even say weirdly, but it’s hard to pin down exactly why it was such a nice video. It felt like a columniation of a lot of raw and personal thoughts, and the expression of them brings joy. It’s so nice to see you feel the things you do in such an honest way.

I think I can speak for everyone when I say, we are all very proud of you! It makes me so happy to see you doing well.💗 I’m so grateful to be a part of the Inner Circle and I definitely can’t wait to see what you come up with next! 😊
