Absorbing wick will fulfill some kind of narrative destiny that started back when Devick first did her mad asexual reproduction craze that produced all those stillborn. The stillborn coming back to haunt and absorb the living child. I feel it's a given that this will be worth an ABSURD amount of progress in Rand's nether core. The thing I'm going more out on a limb on is some kind of incredible evolution to the skill itself that might happen and bring about a huge qualitative change. The one thing I am absolutely not touching is whether it will remove or amplify the bad luck they are supposed to bring. I can easily see that one going either way, but I will say that I'm leaning in the direction of worse luck.

Admittedly, this legitimately might be the one I finally get an accurate prediction on. This one sounds pretty darn reasonable. This whole thing is supposed to either Wick or Rand absorb the other. Rand is going to break the rules using his unborn skill. The unborn are going to be the ones absorbing Wick. Rand, as a result, will be completely free of whatever madness infested Wick when he absorbed the previous "son." Devick is going to be furious and it is going to lead to an incredibly awkward relationship between her and Rand.

2021-09-26 00:56:35 +0000 UTCSounds like the unborn phoenix might be able to play a big part in this. I mean what would be a better catalyst to let that image evolve. Also I wonder how useful the couple thousand point path Randidly was able to complete for his shadows will pay out. Its already made them slightly evolve. I just realized if Rand uses the system to evolve the shadows, that would throw off Devick for sure. After all who else has the ability to spend so many path points on a whim.. Also crab smugness is surprisingly cute.

The level 58 crab will be lording it over the level 59 crab from now on, talking about how the Ghosthound took him as a disciple and taught him the Dao of brushing things off your shoulder and not sweating the small stuff.
