Chapter 1798

Comments

It covered Darksteel. It breaks down outside connections from the image, which destroys weak images or images you got from someone else. Meanwhile, it's powdered form can actually be a tool to help STRENGTHEN fairly well developed images. (Or rather, aid in the process of development by removing those outside connections and allowing the creator to re-enforce those areas) But, yeah, Tellumurite hasn't really had any mention since it was used in that one arc.

Shouldn't he have fixed his arm while in time dilation? The next one needs self repair functions. Maybe Sam can make one that is partially sentient and can eat materials to heal.

Interesting. So my prediction last chapter was entirely incorrect. Likely, none of the original Patrons were among the 10 who stepped onto the Path, since only Sun and Bloom (And Deep?) had been freed and Randidly likely would have recognized the Image of the Patron of the Sun. Same with Don Beigon. Also, being Commandant-tier is apparently enough to step onto the Path, so the pool of applicants is many times larger. This means that we really only know 1 person who made it onto the Path for sure, Seeker Thunder Wing. Likely, the extra-prepared-Military person made it, if only for narrative purposes. I would bet they were not the first 1 either, the one that Elhume spared. I wonder if we'll get a chapter from the POV of someone on the Path or not. Probably not? Puddles probably wants to wait until Randidly steps onto the Path before revealing what it is like. If that is the case, then we won't know what happened until people make it off the Path. Based on the Nether King, that can take weeks, so plenty of time for more Nexus Chaos and Don Beigon's Ball. Boy, I bet plenty of factions are going to get torn up because of their leader having stepped onto the Path or killed by Elhume. The Engraving Guild is obviously ruined. Who else is vulnerable? Unrelated thought #1: As we've seen more and more of the top tier of the Nexus, the power of Chulroon (monkey man from the Dungeon) has seemed more and more incredible. He created a coffin made of crystallized Aether. So far, the only people I'm aware of using crystallized Aether are Velio, Randidly, and Elhume himself. Yet he only lasted "1 day" against the 4th Calamity. How strong was he, really? What was the 4th Calamity like in his time? What happened to the Nether Bomb he gave Randidly in chapter 1000? It seemed really interesting at the time, but now Randidly has a Nether Core and an infinite supply of Nether, so it seems... less cool. Also, it hasn't been mentioned in 800 chapters. Better than the 1126 chapters since Ulaat's door has been mentioned, but still. Unrelated thought #2: What was the deal with Tellumurite, the material that ignites/destroys Aether? What about Darksteel, which inhibits Images? We've found that Aetherium, which helped Randidly vs the Mandate from Elhume, is a byproduct of an attempt to reach the Pinnacle that fails (Which means there should be a bunch of new Aetherium soon). Unitarium, which helps Soul Bonds, seems to be naturally occurring. I guess Tellumurite is more like that? The way it "ignites" Aether doesn't seem similar to Nether, especially how it burns faster when Aether is more Pure. We've learned a lot about Aether "purity" since then, and how it seems to be a result of being warped by strong images. So many questions. Why does Commandant Wick want Unitarium? He has a Soul Bond? Or intends to make one?

Fiazba Baran

It really seems like it should, yeah. I thought it was a path to the 3rd Calamity, but after the events on Tellus with Shal, it really does seem to be a Path to the Pinnacle portal. Maybe Randidly won't use it to start on the Path, but rather to escape? Similar to how the Nether King used Wind Scythe's portal to escape from the Path.

Fiazba Baran

What I want to know is... what about that door Ulaat left open on his home planet that he said was there for Randidly to use when he was ready to do so? There have been later implications with Shal that this actually was the path to the pinical. Does this mean Randidly can simply pass through onto the path without triggering all these alerts to the Nexus?

Jemini

Thanks for the chapter

Thanks for the chapter.

"Even as the Aether became increasingly chaotic, Randidly was able to identify all of the different energies straight due to Nether." -> to keep all

Jamarr

Cool set up. I like the sideline view of the political movements.
