An image is made up of the core of what a person is change in one them means a change in the other. Commander Illelya( Bird girl thats a part of Rand's band of revolutionists) lost a part of her compassion for her people and that was just a class change. Rewriting the core of someone's image is going to result in a changed personality at minimum.

I commented last few chapters ago that I’d like the resolution sooner than later, but I wouldn’t call it “wallowing” lol. These two chapters were great. Now the next few he’ll aggressively change the image instead of pussyfooting about

I don’t see why anyone is upset, Randidly particularly, about completely changing her image. Who cares if it’s insanely different from what it once was? The only use an image has is power. Period.

If he were doing it for her, I don't think it would bother me much. There was an equal exchage, she gave him information, he refined her image. Maybe it's because I don't like revenge stories... Don't get me wrong, I want Commandant Wick gutted and chocking on his own blood as much as the next guy, but is it worth it using Claudette for it, with unforeseeable consequences?

She wants power. Consent is not something she understands in the same way American purity culture defines the word. She hired him in desperation, it was a Hail Mary, and right now she’s been watching him debate how hard to throw the ball. She’s basically telling to stop worry about possibly hitting low orbit and just throw it.

Even with her "consent" (she doesn't even know what he'll do to her), Rand molding and using her as a weapon, doesn't it make him the same as the Nexus? Using people to achieve his goals? And in this case, his goal isn't even a "higher" one where he can justify it with the "big picture". No, in this case it's just revenge, personal dirty revenge.
