Anyone else hoping that the problem is something that he’s already solved, like needing ridiculous amounts of control, or system Aether causing problems when it is used for such incredibly high physical stats? I’m sure that puddles will do well no matter what, but Randidly deserves to have just the one easy victory.

2021-03-26 10:28:48 +0000 UTCI dont think that the "god" was pine he was trapped in center of the nexus since the beginning and initially was not sapient and was just a ball of energy, I think that part may have changed over time though, perhaps due to absorbing the things that fell into the shaft?

2021-03-26 07:09:21 +0000 UTCHmmm...From the bits of conversation seems like he's linked to a hollow man and someone considered a god. I'm guessing this relates to how karma was changed and the one time the Hierarchy of Karma (a sword, Velio?) was used to kill a selfless person who was becoming a god. Still undecided if that almost god was Pine (as he's just giving away energy) after developing a desire or someone else. I presume that they'd make sure the person was dead but if they couldn't or the man was indeed Pine (so he needed to live) then maybe they'd have to keep him from healing and in stasis. If Pine and also the body pieces in the shaft then the massive unaligned Aether would prevent Nether from helping heal him. That being said the Nether gatekeeper said the old ones were trying to open a door with a giant ritual so the need for raw Aether might be to prevent that. Also Ystrix thinks the weight of the Nexus crushed Pine. Maybe Pine wanted less pressure and as a perfectly selfless being karma would destroy the nexus so they tore him to pieces and used chaotic Aether to prevent recovery. Another option for Hollow man could be Eloheme and people turning against him as "god" of the Nexus and Aether.
