2021-03-05 13:31:31 +0000 UTCUsing the key isn't taking him anywhere though. Expira is a part of him so his real body was in the shaft the entire time. It was basically him using a keycard to get in and out of a building versus the old usage of making a full portal to two distant locations.

His emotions painted the situation very black and white. The more he learned of her and the nexus as time went on. The situation turned to muddled shades of gray. The greater his view of the situation, he was forced to acknowledge how he couldn't become who he was or the strength he had gained without her meddling.
