Goten Chapter 1

authors: Hey guys, This is another fanfiction that I've been wanting to write for some time now and Let's see how it goes!

Goten Chapter 1

The rising sun cast a soft orange glow over the neighborhood park, still quiet and peaceful at 5 am. a figure could be seen running. It was Jack, an overweight teenage boy who had been struggling with his weight for as long as he could remember. Today, he had started a new workout routine and was determined to push himself harder than ever before. Beads of sweat dripped down his face as he ran laps around the park, his breath coming in heavy gasps. His heart pounded in his chest, but he refused to give up, his mind set on achieving his goal of becoming fit and healthy.

"Just one more lap," Jack muttered through gritted teeth, wiping the sweat from his furrowed brow. "I can do this."

As he rounded the final bend, Jack felt a sharp, stabbing pain shoot through his chest. He stumbled, clutching at his heart as the pain intensified. His vision blurred and darkness threatened to consume him as he fell to his knees, gasping for breath. Panic seized him as he realized something was seriously wrong.

"No, no, this can't be happening," Jack's thoughts raced frantically. "I can't die here, not like this." The world seemed to spin around him as he struggled to stay conscious and fight against whatever was causing this excruciating pain.

The pain became unbearable, and Jack collapsed onto the ground, his vision fading to black. He felt a strange sense of weightlessness, as if he were floating away from his own body. The last thing he remembered was the sound of his own heartbeat, slowing to a stop.

When Jack opened his eyes again, he found himself standing in an unfamiliar room. The walls glowed softly with a warm light, and he felt an overwhelming sense of peace and calm wash over him. In front of him sat a man wearing a sleek suit.

"Welcome, Jack," the person said in a soothing voice, opening a folder and scanning its contents. "My name is Glen and I am the reaper assigned to process you."

Jack stared in awe at the being before him. "Who... who are you? And where am I?" he asked in disbelief.

"I am Glen, as I mentioned before," the man replied with a gentle smile. "And you are currently in the office of the afterlife - yes, Jack, you have passed away."

the realization hit Jack like a ton of bricks. "So, I'm dead," he said, his voice heavy with sadness. "I really died."

Glen nodded solemnly. "Yes, Jack. You died from a sudden cardiac arrest while trying to improve your way of life. Your body couldn't handle the strain."

Looking down at his hands, Jack whispered, "I just wanted to be better. I wanted to live a healthier life."

Sighing, he asked Glen what would happen next.

"Well, you will be judged," Glen replied, flipping open a folder and carefully flipping through its pages.

Hearing that he was about to be judged, Jack gulped and sat there nervously.

"Let's see here," Glen began as he looked over the contents of the folder. "You have lived a life that neither leaned towards good nor bad - a neutral life." He flipped to another page and continued, "You have helped some people and animals but have also killed ants and bugs. It seems to balance out in the end."

Jack couldn't believe it. "Killing bugs is a sin?" he asked in disbelief.

Glen shrugged and explained, "A life is a life. If you kill something indiscriminately, it counts as taking a life. And before you ask about chickens, fish, and other animals we consume for food - killing for survival or sustenance is acceptable as long as it serves a purpose."

He flipped to another page in the file, his expression contemplative. "Hm, based on your record and actions in life, I can say that you fall under section 811-B2." Jack furrowed his brows in confusion. "What does that mean?" he asked.

A small smile tugged at the corners of Glen's lips as he answered, "It means you will be given a choice: move on to the afterlife - specifically heaven - or reincarnate into a fictional world." He paused, his eyes scanning over Jack's file once more before adding, "Of course, since your karma is not particularly positive, the world you would be transmigrated into would be randomized."

Jack's excitement was palpable. "Wait, so I get to choose which fictional world I go to?" he exclaimed. Then, a thought occurred to him and he asked eagerly, "Will I be able to keep my memories?"

Glen nodded with an amused glint in his eye. "Yes, you will retain your memories as you will be transmigrated rather than reincarnated - the latter requiring a complete rebirth." He paused for dramatic effect before asking slyly, "So I take it that you want to be transmigrated?"

With an eager nod from Jack, Glen stood up and made his way towards a closet hidden in the corner of the room. From it, he pulled out a large spinning wheel adorned with various symbols and names of fictional worlds such as Harry Potter, Naruto, Dragon Ball, Avatar, Star Wars, and many more.

Glen pulled the spinning wheel towards the center of the room. He motioned for Jack to join him and said, "When you are ready, pull this lever to find out which world you will be transmigrated into."

Jack's eyes lit up with anticipation as he walked over to Glen and whispered a silent prayer under his breath. "Please let it be a good one," he thought as he reached out and grasped the cold metal lever. he pulled it down and watched as the wheel began to spin.

One minute passed by before the wheel finally slowed down and came to a stop on the name Dragon Ball. A grin spread across Jack's face as he exclaimed, "Yes! Dragon Ball!"

Glen nodded approvingly as he looked at the wheel now displaying names of characters from the world of Dragon Ball - Goku, Vegeta, Broly, Gohan, Trunks, Goten, Mr. Satan, Raditz, and many more. "A good choice indeed," he said with a hint of excitement in his voice. "A world where you have knowledge is always advantageous."

"Now onto who you will be transmigrated as," Glen said.

Jack's eyes widened in surprise, and he asked, "Wait, I'll be taking over the lives of one of them?"

Glen hummed thoughtfully before responding, "In a sense, yes. But no, you will be transmigrated as them - merging your consciousness with theirs and living their life."

With a gesture of his hand, Glen indicates that Jack should pull the lever once again.

Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, Jack pulled the lever with trembling hands. "Please be a good one," he chanted under his breath, anxiety building as he waited for the wheel to stop spinning. After a solid minute of suspense, it finally landed on Son Goten.

Seeing the result, Jack couldn't contain his excitement. "Yes! I got Goten!" he exclaimed, dancing around in glee.

Glen's words confirmed Jack's hopes. "Ah, Son Goten. A very good choice. He has the most potential among all the characters that aren't broken but sadly wasn't used that well in the story. I guess that won't be an issue with you taking over as Goten."

Overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement, Jack could hardly contain himself. "Thank you, thank you so much!" he blurted out.

Glen smiled warmly at him before walking over to the door. "Good luck in your new life, Jack," he said gently before opening the door and adding with sincerity, "May you find the happiness and fulfillment you seek." With those final words, Glen left the room.

As if in response to his departure, a blinding flash of light filled the room and engulfed Jack. His consciousness began to drift away, and he felt himself losing consciousness.
