Wanted to make a few announcements.
Starting next week, I'm going to shift how the rewards work, so First Tier gets you 1 chapter, Second Tier gets you 2, Third Tier gets you 3, etc. Just makes more sense as I have 3 Tiers now.
In addition, shortly after this, I should upload another side work that I've done as a reward for the T3 people. Thank you so much!
Also, I've recently been big about self-improvement, so I've settle on some side projects I'm interested in. I mentioned it on RR, but I'll take a 1 day break every 20 chapters, and I'll probably use that time to really focus on the side projects.
So! These are my side projects I'm thinking about:
1. A board/card game called Heinous Monsters. Hard to explain, because I've made a couple iterations and they haven't been great. But I had a flash of inspiration, and I think I can make it work.
2. A horror and romance short story (primarily written as a gift for my girlfriend, but y'all will be a good alpha readers). The basic premise is there is a man who tattoos the name of every girl he has had a crush on, and there is a female ghost whose voice causes the living listener to have a heart attack. Other than that, I haven't written much, but I'll work it out.
3. A Web Novels podcast? I spend a lot of time reading web novels, both english and foreign, and I thought a podcast might be a cool side gig. Have a general topic based on web novel culture, then a recommendation section, then a spoiler wall, where the hosts would talk about what they are currently reading. Sharing the hype would be cool.
4. A television screenplay. I've thought a lot about this, and tried to outline a bunch, but this was at a more flaky time in my life. The general story is that there is a metaphysical company that has been going around switching the causes of things from magical to scientific for hundreds of years. Set in current day, where less than 1% of phenomenon have non-scientific explanations, a boy with a very old type of magic is born, and is quickly brought in by the company and given a choice: work as a case worker, or be "re-explained". This is his, and the world's story.
Let me know which of them is most interesting to you, and why in the comments. Oh, and ask any questions you want about them, and I'll do my best to answer.

Haha, didn't I see you just reduce your donation amount yesterday? Anyways, you aren't wrong. But it's something I'm thinking about.

2017-06-05 22:43:41 +0000 UTCI think perhaps instead of reducing the number of chapters ahead the 5$ patrons are, an increase for the 10$ patrons would be better. More incentive, without "feeling" like a punishment. If it does go down, I will probably stop being a patron, simply because, while I quite enjoy your work, I decided to pay 5$ for a reason, part of which was the number of chapters, and another part is the cost/expenditure I am willing to make. If number of chapters is reduced... I just feel bad for the patron. and a 100% increase in cost to retain the same benefit is too much of an increase.
