Due to Peggy being a sociopath, she's able to convince herself thus everybody around her that she is something. But he's the only guy that doesn't buy her bull crap. Hank doesn't either, but at least he puts up with it because he loves her. As for what he said regarding women in church and teaching, here's what the Bible says: 1 Timothy 2:12 ESV: I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. 1 Corinthians 14:34 ESV: The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. 1 Corinthians 11:3 ESV: But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God. Ephesians 5:22 ESV: Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
