Itโs mostly amplitude modulation (ring modulation) โ basically a really fast LFO on the volume, thatโs what creates the crunch. In FL Studio you can use the Frequency Shifter for this. I usually add it to melodies, not to the drums, but sometimes I also mix it a bit into the hi-hats.
