Update and Poll on potential chapter division
Added 2023-03-04 16:16:42 +0000 UTCNext chapter, 60 Part two, should be out within the next couple of hours after I do some proofreading the catch the most obvious mistakes. I'm gonna try doing a listen through this time as well, see if that catches any more.
As an aside, I am planning on doing another poll besides this one. Specifically, to see how many people use the attached PDF's vs the embedded text. i'm pretty curious.
Okay, on to the poll. I raised the possibility of doing further divisions to the existing chapters to allow for more frequent releases of functionally the same volume of content. As it stands, my preferred division level would be three, with three weekly releases (One for each piece. 2500 ish words.) Writing chapters smaller than that doesn't really work for me.
Because I actually got my writing done roughly on schedule (Wow!) I'm going to experiment with writing the next two weeks of content in my proposed format. I'll also do a compilation for the regular two parts on the next two weekends respectively to provide a comparison.

Edits: I can't edit the poll options now that it has started, but I just wanted to reassure people that the information from the poll is mostly for reference so I know where peoples preferences are at.
If the majority would prefer remaining with the 7.5 weekly, I'll take a solid crack at splicing/grafting the 2.5k segments into the 7.5k for weekly patreon release. Assuming I can maintain the same quality consistantly, I'll just reserve the 2.5k segments for RR and scribblehub to make the most of the metrics.
Objectively, only posting once a week for Patreon is much simpler, so I really don't mind if that's what people prefer to read. If the poll ends up being split, adding one more post a week at that point isn't a really big deal either. I'll just need to TAG the chapters so people can opt into or out of their preferred format and not get spammed with extra emails hehe.

Depending on how things go, I might reserve the tripple release format just for the free release on RR and SH to make the most of the metrics. Assuming I can splice the chapters without comprimising quality, of course. I'll edit the info in the main post so people are aware that that the poll is not the only possible outcome. its just a reference so I know what peoples preferences are.

2023-03-04 20:20:53 +0000 UTCHehe, I use TTS too, so I see where you coming from. If the vote is split, I could try doing both. Making a blended release once a week on the same day as the final portion of the other. Do you use TTS ont he patreon message? Or on the PDF?

2023-03-04 18:28:46 +0000 UTCLong form chapters are definitely my preference. Do kind of miss the original release length. But that's mostly because I have a strong dislike for actually reading, so I use a text to speech for everything lol. Just less fuss with larger word counts.
