hi, im really terribly sorry but i've temporarily pulled the penguin's memory video. its my worst performing in more than two years and i suspect its because i made the mistake of putting the word "beer" in the title--despite youtube making absolutely no mention of that as a problem. no explicit demonetization or anything, it's otherwise completely unprecedented. the system is completely opaque. i'll put it up again in a couple weeks or something.
not to be too revealing but this is a complete nightmare scenario. i was supposed to be on a plane to see my family right now but had to cancel so i could start work on another video to get something else out the door asap. this one was supposed to allow me to seek treatment for an ear that's at risk of permanent damage. im at a total loss. just trying again is about the only thing i can think to do. thanks for your patience, and to the warm reception from those who saw it while it was up. i hope you have a good rest of the year❤️
ps: the questions thread i already posted will be used once the vid is back up. sorry for all the confusion.
edit: since people are asking, you can pledge more than a dollar at the one dollar tier, i just have the one so nobody is excluded from any content because they cant pledge more.

Interestingly, YouTube did suggest it to me at the top of my feed when it came out but it seems that was not the case universally by the other comments here. It would likely get a faster turn around than a full video and with enough lead up, im sure you could net a strong crowed. Yes, it doesn’t fix YouTube systematic problem, but it may help you mentally categorize it in a way that feels better than just asking for donos. Edit: also, the video rocked socks. Can’t wait to watch it a second time for that algorithm boost.
