Hello people! Today, there will be a set of pics plus some clarifications in a wall of text ๐ let's start with the pics.
1) Eve wants some chocolate! ๐ซ
2) Why is our lovely Jen walking naked in an apartment that is not hers? ๐ค
3) It seems like John is stating some new rules at the coffee shop! ๐ฎโ
4) Cass!!! ๐

Now, the wall of text with some extra info for clarification:
I am aware that there's a growing anticipation for the upcoming release of Season 2, Episode 1 believe me, your excitement for more Jen is shared! ๐
I wanted to address a couple of concerns that have surfaced recently. A very small number of messages have suggested that updates are being intentionally slowed down, or that adding new language support is merely a stalling tactic.
Let me assure you, that's not the case. I keep the comments open for everyone to see (unless they're outright offensive or ill-intentioned), so you can see for yourselves that these views represent only a minority. On the topic of language support, for every comment I receive questioning its value, there are scores more expressing gratitude for the effort to include their native languages. The feedback is overwhelmingly positive and itโs coming from all over the world. (For 1 message from someone that doesn't agree with taking the time to add the languages, I receive like 20-25 in favor and thanking me for adding their native language to the game, I've received messages from many Spanish-speaking countries, Poland, Italy, Brazil, Portugal, Hungary, France, Scandinavian countries, China, etc, etc, etc) ๐
For those who may think that Iโm deliberately delaying updates and not focusing on new content, I'd like to draw your attention to a Patreon post from a few months ago:
https://www.patreon.com/posts/season-1-and-2-86845957
In that post, I talked about undertaking a remastering project. I even suggested that those not interested in the remaster could pause their subscriptions until it's completed. If there are still doubts about my intentions after being transparent about the process, it leaves me rather speechless. Iโm committed to being upfront and keeping you all informed. (Again, people who think this way are in the minority, but I prefer to speak up rather than keep quiet lest people get carried away by a couple of comments) ๐
Additionally, I've received private notes urging me to reduce my interactions with the community and to put all my focus on the game itself. While I understand this perspective, I respectfully disagree. The community interaction is an integral part of what makes IoM special. Connecting with the players, engaging with your feedback, and sharing in your stories is something I cherish deeply. This approach won't change; it's an essential aspect of the game and one of the main reasons I'm so driven to develop it further. I may limit my time on Discord occasionally to concentrate on development, but rest assured, my overall presence will remain consistent.
Although I always try to keep the messages up to date and reply to everyone, currently I have a delay of about a week as I have been 100% developing IoM, sorry to those who have not responded, tonight I'll get to answer all messages while I leave my PC working on an animation. ๐
I think I let my actions speak louder than my words, I am only one person who answers and reads all the messages here, on Discord and on Steam (And I reply in every language ๐ ), Innocence Or Money is probably the most translated adult visual novel worldwide, and the amount of animations and images per update can be seen by itself, besides, for more than 2 years in a row I have never failed to post the images on Saturdays or Sundays. All of this and more is being done by only one person. ๐ (And as a human being I have my ups and downs, my good and shitty days ๐, but one way or another I do my best to always deliver the pics to the people)
(It is also good to mention that even though I am one person, there are people here from the community that have helped me a lot, giving me ideas, helping me to write some scenes of the game and helping me from day one to improve my English and the game's English) ๐
If after doing this, some people still intuit or think that I don't work on the game and that I delay the updates.... There is nothing I can say, just unsubscribe, hehe. ๐
I know there might be a bit of impatience because the remastering and the release on Steam took me much longer than I thought (Here the mistake was mine, the truth is that I knew it was going to be a lot of work, but it was a LOT more than I calculated, huge miscalculation on my part, nothing more to say here ๐ ) Most of the time I am the person who wants to release an update as soon as possible to show everyone everything that has been done and how the story of the game is evolving because in the end we are all IoM fans and we all want more, me included. ๐
If I had a DeLorean and the power to go back in time, would I change anything I have done, like the addition of the languages, the remastering, or something else? Absolutely not, I wouldn't change anything, I know that any decision I make will have people in favor and people against. Nonetheless, I wish I could have calculated more accurately the time it was going to take me to be able to inform everyone in a more precise way, but I am terrible at calculating the time it takes to do some things, even to this day, I am still terrible at calculating the time, in this department I am not good at all. ๐
---
Now, to talk about something different, another person asked me if I could share the percentage of progress, honestly I don't have a precise percentage of progress, but since I'm writing all this wall of text today, I will give an approximation ๐, I think that right now it's around 70-80%, what is ALREADY done is:
576 - Images
152 - 4K/60fps animations (Remember that IoM is heavy on animations because of many cameras and different speeds for each camera)
1 New place (Maybe a second one will be added too)
New characters
Remember that Season 2 is being made with the very last version of RenPy (The language in which the game is being made) to be able to use all the new stuff that it brings, so I coded many things again from scratch and improved things to be able to add more new and cool stuff, so the start was slower than a typical update, but thanks to that, during the development of Season 2 everyone will see new things and improvements. ๐
I will probably add 1 more language, but it's a very complex one, if once everything is done I can translate it in less than 2 days I will add it, if not, Season 2 will have 30 languages just like Season 1.
I know that the remastering and the release on Steam have made the continuation of the IoM story take some time to continue developing, but episode 1 of season 2 progress is pretty advanced and I am the first one who wants to release it as soon as possible, as always I will keep you informed and showing the progress.
Alright, enough writing! Back to the dev grind for me. ๐ Thanks for being the best part of IoM and I wish everyone a great weekend! ๐บ
