Mail Ling is stuck at home, only thing she can do to pass the time is reading, watching YouTube/streaming shows, doom scroll social media, and waiting for the neighbor to come and help her with the chores...

So as you may have noticed I did post a little bit less frequent. Some time is taken by projects, the real world ones, but most was sunk into building a AI server platform. I run SD locally on my Windows machine. But since it has only a 12 GB card I figured lets buy a used more powerful one. And when I got a working one I figured I need a stronger power supply why not also invest in a used workstation (a HP z440 can be a pretty good deal, considering a power source can cost +- 100$ so + - 60 more for 32 GB ram, a 8 core CPU and a very silent case is a pretty nice deal.)

And so troubleshooting started, first a week to figure out it doesn't t work with samsung screens then another installing containers without succeeding in passing the card through so a driver can be installed finally learning how to get win 11 set up on a VM that can install drivers and after two days figuring out the correct version of py torch and the correct order how to install is, accidentally learning how to set up virt py environments and installing torch twice, extending VM drives coz the model eat up 100 GB ez to finally succeed in installing this one Chinese coloring tool that was hyped in an ai news on YT. ... well once I removed that I can run Stable diffusion on the machine or I can test if some of the video models come near kling. - ah I also created this short story with older sis, Mai Ling, as a test. So this long text explains why I added the strange colored pictures. The model in this state is a total disappointment - the thumbnails look ok but it doesn't t get any details right. And you had to pic the colors and place them first.
