Question . . .
Added 2023-09-20 20:01:00 +0000 UTCAs mentioned in a previous post, I see more and more AI art in general and also in all the fetish genres I do art. And it is getting better and better.
Half a year ago AI could barely count limbs and while some models still prefer 6 toes I have to admit, it's getting better and better. and it can be produced In seconds or minutes which takes me hours.
So should I look into AI art? Or keep creating at a slow pace sticking to traditional sketches/lineart?
It is a kind of serious question, not only an excuse to buy a 4080 (I admit I may look for a reason). I have to admit for "pin up" pictures there is no way I can beat the speed and details once someone trains a better Checkpoint/Lora for casts. Complex pictures like fight scenes seem a bit beyond AI's current capability but that is mostly because of the artists I guess. And as with 3D there is also a clear skill difference between creators, while most are meh, I do recognize a few really good creators. It is still based on other artists but I also look at other art and ideas.

I think AI is a tool... there will always be a sl44n3sh style. If you want to train an AI with your art and generate starting points, I think that makes a lot of sense. But in the end, nothing will beat human creativity.
