Indeed, it takes more than a 'simple assault from behind with a brutal leg fracture' to scare off a tomboy like Nina. But it is also true that this time her usually tough exterior has taken a real beating... So... better let the police investigate, the real police…LOL In any case, thank you, as always, for continuing to give us this kind of 'pearls'. Above all, it is a comfort to know that in the recent future we will be able to see Nina and Amber in an even less mobile version...

for the sake of getting things done in time, I decided to not include a hospital room. I will make a note to put that in the following chapter. Regarding Nina looking for clues in her current state. That seems rather silly given the brutal assault she just endured, the last thing she can use is a psychopath who thinks he has to get rid of loose ends. . . But no worries I am sure the police will do an excellent job. :)

Well, it looks like Nina's healing path has slowed abruptly (lengthened, actually) and she has to start more or less from scratch... I wonder if Nina will find herself in the same hospital room as Amber, both of them with their casted legs in traction. Maybe it will be the lovely Kei who will come to visit them and help them take their first steps on the long and arduous road to rehabilitation. Undoubtedly having to endure Kei's courtesy visit would be a further blow to Nina's already strained morale... I agree with Beastcaster, I too would love to see some scenes of the two of them first in the cast room (as they receive the feral news of their deplorable condition and the related, disarming, prognosis) and then in the hospital room. With Amber berating Nina for initially thinking of hitting her and Nina attempting to exonerate herself from her bed of pain.... In any case, the story you have concocted is really exciting and engaging. I look forward to seeing the next developments. With Nina who, 'in police inspector version', wanders, limp, through the corridors of the school, dragging her two plastered legs, in search of news or information about the author (male? female?) of the ambush against her and Amber...

Yes! Glad she didn’t hurt Amber, not that it worked out for her at all lol. It’s poetry to see Nina’s lower leg snapped perfectly in half just like the last time, although I wish we would’ve gotten a longer pause with her reeling from the break. Would love to see an in-between page of the girls and their injuries before we get them all casted up for the next chapter. Excellent work! Nina continues to be my favorite, can’t wait to see what else you have in the pipeline!
