233 Naruto: Snatching the Mangekyō
Added 2025-01-30 06:03:01 +0000 UTCIn the next moment, an overwhelming repulsive force pushed back the flames, colliding violently and sending both Nagato and Akira flying in opposite directions.
The storm of blinding white repulsion swept across the battlefield like a hurricane. Tsunade and her team were forced to summon their Wood Release or activate their Susanoo to shield themselves from the forceful winds.
"What's going on with the Fifth's eyes?" Tsunade looked up toward the battlefield, her voice tinged with astonishment.
"Such immense ocular power... it surpasses even our Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. It's on par with Nagato's Rinnegan, if not stronger," Shisui remarked, his tone filled with disbelief.
Nagato's Rinnegan wasn't newly awakened, it had been honed and refined over a long time. In theory, the current Rinnegan's power should far exceed what it was at the beginning.
This process was similar to how the Mangekyo Sharingan evolved within the Uchiha clan—its power increased gradually, not instantaneously.
Fugaku gazed at the sky, where the fierce clash between the two combatants continued. He muttered under his breath,
"Perhaps this is what the Fifth looks like after completing his preparations. One of his eyes feels like the Sharingan, but the other… it's hard to say."
"It could be the Tenseigan!" Tsunade speculated aloud, her expression thoughtful. "That right eye… it feels similar to Kaori Hyuga's."
"The Tenseigan?" Fugaku nodded, a hint of solemn delight crossing his stern face.
"Boom!"
A continuous rumble echoed from the heavens, akin to a cascade of thunderbolts tearing through the sky.
The clash of their terrifying chakras shook not only the heavens but also the earth, which trembled beneath their overwhelming power.
Explosions lit up the sky, one after another, like miniature suns, their radiance blinding.
The intense waves of energy rippled outward, causing Tsunade, Fugaku, and Shisui—watching from below—to exchange uneasy glances, their expressions grim.
"Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!"
Suddenly, a low, commanding voice echoed from the sky—it was Uchiha Akira.
A chakra so terrifying it made one's heart pound rose into the air, suffocatingly oppressive.
Above, nine Truth-Seeking Orbs hovered behind Akira, connecting to form a massive circular chain, resembling a colossal string of beads.
With a wave of his hand, Akira unleashed a burst of green radiance. The connected orbs expanded to the height of a man before erupting into a massive gray-white tornado from within the circle they formed.
The storm surged outward, filling the entire world with its destructive force. The skies quaked, and even the void seemed to distort.
"This is bad!" Nagato's Rinnegan flared as his pupils contracted. The Truth-Seeking Orbs behind him merged instantly, forming a massive shield that floated before him.
In the blink of an eye, the monstrous storm engulfed Nagato.
"Crack…"
The sound of fracturing echoed in Nagato's ears.
Visible cracks began to spread across the surface of the shield formed by the Truth-Seeking Orbs.
Behind the cracking shield, Nagato clasped his hands together, his purple Rinnegan widening as he unleashed the combined force of his Six Paths abilities and ocular power.
"Six Paths: Shinra Tensei!"
Boom!
A surge of boundless repulsive force exploded outward. It roared like a tsunami, erupted like a supervolcano, shaking the skies and warping space itself.
The terrifying gray-white storm crashed into the invisible barrier, emitting a continuous thunderous roar.
"Ahh!" Nagato's eyes widened, his face contorted in strain, pushing his powers to their absolute limit.
"Get back!" Nagato stretched his hands forward, as though physically forcing the storm away.
Amazingly, the destructive tornado seemed to halt and began to recede under his control.
"This ends now!" Akira's cold voice rang out.
A golden beam of light suddenly sliced through the sky, a dazzling arc cutting across the battlefield.
Slash!
The golden light flashed like a blade, slicing through the storm, severing Nagato's barrier, and then striking his body.
The light vanished as quickly as it appeared, leaving no trace, as though it had never existed.
However, the aftermath was unmistakable. With a muffled thud, most of Nagato's body fell to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.
He had been bisected by the golden beam, his upper half landing heavily on the battlefield.
The Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion—the ultimate attack of the Tenseigan—was powerful enough to cleave the moon in two. Fortunately, Akira hadn't used it recklessly. Instead of cutting vertically, he'd struck horizontally, avoiding catastrophic damage to the earth.
Even so, Akira's current power was such that if he unleashed this move without restraint, the world itself could face destruction. Splitting the earth in two would have been an unforgivable mistake.
Akira descended through the air, his gaze fixed on Nagato, who staggered backward in fear.
"This is the end."
Though Nagato had become the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki and gained near-immortality, injuries like this would recover quickly. Akira knew that, and he wouldn't give him the chance.
The Truth-Seeking Orbs behind Akira transformed into sharp black rods and shot toward Nagato with deadly precision.
Nagato, though caught off guard, wasn't about to surrender. All he needed was a few moments to turn the tide. With his Truth-Seeking Orbs depleted, he had no choice but to rely on the Shinra Tensei to repel the incoming black rods.
Clang! Clang!
The sharp rods rebounded, deflected into the distance.
But before Nagato could breathe a sigh of relief, five more black rods streaked toward him, tearing through the air.
"Damn it…" Nagato's pupils constricted as dread flooded his mind.
"Banshō Ten'in!" Nagato stretched out his hand, using his gravitational force to halt the incoming projectiles.
Thud!
Though he stopped them, the rods pierced through his outstretched hand, pinning it in place.
"This is the moment I've been waiting for." Akira smirked as he flickered forward, appearing before Nagato in a flash of motion.
Nagato's pupils contracted. Before he could react, a sharp pain erupted from his chest.
Akira had wrenched the rods free from Nagato's hand and driven them into his body.
One rod pierced his chest, two more skewered his arms, and the last lodged in his head.
The black rods, formed from the Truth-Seeking Orbs, severely disrupted Nagato's regenerative abilities. Even as the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki, he was now immobilized, helpless before Akira's overwhelming power.
