This is how the final version of pic 3 for June's cave girl elf turned out.
As I stated in my last post with the failed sketch, I actually drew an entirely new scene for the 3rd pic... But it just didn't work out. Something about how her face being turned away from the camera took away a lot of the "message" I was going for, with this shot. So after spending several days on the last pic and failing, I thought to myself, "Why am I making it harder on myself? Why don't I just use the same camera angle? In the end, I feel that doing so works much better for the "story" I am trying to tell here (especially when you flip through the set).
I guess I was worried that using the same background and angle would be "cheating"... But who made that rule? lol It works to convey the feeling, so why not? Sometimes I need to remind myself that art isn't a competition with one's self. It's about sharing an idea.
Anyways, the pic still isn't as clear as I would like, but I feel the last one (which I am trying to have finished by tomorrow evening) should clear any potential confusion as to what is going on. XD
Anyways, there you go! I hope you all like it! It was a big pain in the butt, but I am happy with how it turned out. On to the last pic for June, then something a bit more simple (but still fun) for July! I'll send the high resolution files out as soon as I finish June's set.
