Pinup Sketch ( October, Week 3)

The characters are a whole extra layer folder above the background, which means that there's drawn background items behind them, too. I decided to do that in case I wanted to use this background again for anything else (I've done that with all the backgrounds, for October's works). I also tried to give the lady on the right(possibly the store clerk?) a slightly different face structure, specifically in her nose. Hard to see at this resolution, but it should show up better in the final colored version. :)
I never meant to take so long on these, but man, I really needed to try and push myself to see what kind of detail I could put into a scene. Gotta color this and one more scene to wrap up October, but in the meantime, I am going to go ahead and start working on some simple but sexy works for November. So look forward to some "Classic RoninDude" style pinups, while I continue to finish up October's uber massive picture set.
I'd love to hear what people think, so far! I think this is probably a new favorite of mine. XD Always wanted to draw the inside of an old timey shop! XD

I am making slow progress, but slow progress is better than none! XD And I am glad the social interaction between the two young girls is coming across clearly. I dearly love to add little bits of assumable stories, to scenes like this. :)

The whole scene is very cute too, the girls are sweet, looks like rich girl being nice to poor girl. Can't wait for colors, and perhaps cake eating.
