Tried to make it look like they were walking into a warm building. Wonder where they are, and what that notice is for? Kinda rude to just stab it into the beam, like that...

you know, I am not sure! I would like to, but really, those 4 shots were thumbnails for me to pick one from, and draw. I put that project on hold for a bit, but I might pick it back up again. I do look at it occasionally, and think about finishing a few of em... But often it's more fun to just make something new. XD

2015-10-31 01:52:09 +0000 UTCHey Shawn, good question! But the fact that it's in an odd place is intentional, for the purpose of making us ask such questions. Why is it there? It says "notice" so it seems official, but why would someone stab it into the wall with a knife? Seems threatening... Especially since it was placed where only the people inside could see it. Could be a ransom notice, or perhaps something else. The fact that it says "Notice" on it makes it seem unlikely that it's a ransom notice, but who knows! We'd have to read it. Seems kind of "cloak and dagger" to me. Lots of questions, which is why I decided to put it facing inside, rather than on the door behind the elf, facing outside. :)

2015-10-29 22:46:52 +0000 UTCMy plan is to continue to put out these illustrations alongside the comics, so it's possible I could do both at the same time. It really just depends on how things go. I'll give it more thought and planning when we get there, I assume we are still a few months away from that. Right now, my main goal is to clear my current commission list before december. Once that done, I'll reevaluate my situation, to see if I need to take another group of commissions right away, or if I can afford to spend my time on the story projects. Time will tell!

2015-10-29 19:37:34 +0000 UTCIt's an interesting idea! I will have a lot of characters once I start a comic, though I am not sure that all of them will become regular companions... The story has to be the most important, so if putting them together makes a great story, then that's what'll happen. I do know one thing, though, they are all in the same world, so it's not unlikely that they will run into each other from time to time, even as strangers. I am really looking forward to diving head first into these comic ideas... It's going to be a big project. Patreon is growing steadily, so it won't be long before we are there!

Looks surly, gruff, and absolutely reliable, like all good dwarf adventuring partners should be. Come to think of it, you drew that cute fire-casting mage elf doing tricks a while back before ya started up the Patreon, you have a good potential adventuring party start-up there, all ya need is a cleric for the 5th.........

Definitely a story there...if that was a tavern it would be a 'help wanted' poster but this looks like a library...maybe someone killed/abucted the Librarian than these two were planning to meet and left a ransom note/warning not to get involved...I just Love pictures like this that get my imagination working

2015-10-29 08:49:56 +0000 UTCGlad you like it, dude! But no, it's not Lin. I admit that I tend to draw faces very similar, but that's a stylistic thing, not really intentional. I'm working on it. :/ Physically, they have different hair, and the archer has freckles and is a little taller. On another note, although you can't see it in my pics, they have very different personalities. Lin is more of a shy and sweet girl who enjoys daydreaming and lives a fairly civilized life (as far as medieval life goes). She works in a tavern not far from the capital, in a coastal northern region. The Archer is more of a country girl (medieval, not US redneck lol) and hasn't spent much time in any big cities. She lives in a very rural village on the edge of the civilized world, working as a tracker/hunter/wilderness guide, and sews her own clothing. She's cheerful and outgoing, with a very open and honest personality. They are pretty much opposites, culturally and experience-wise, but somewhat similar in their positive attitudes. Though the archer is braver and more outgoing than Lin. But anyways, yeah, it's ok that I have two blonde elves, bro. ;)
