The team is really coming together...

Here we have @Abu's first cut in this sequence, and it is a good one! Absolutely fantastic, but again, I want to say, none of my critique or notes are meant to take away from @Abu's skill as an animator. There are simply style requirements that every animator has to adapt to on any new project they join. So, with that out of the way, again... he's done an incredible job, only animating the first section;

 So I added in the original storyboard/animatic frames after his animated frames, just to give some additional guidance. But as you can see, the work he's done is fantastic and I can't wait to see the results of it! Here are the additional written notes I gave him, and hopefully you can learn something from all of this too:

"@Abu here are the notes on this shot. You've done an incredible job, and honestly the majority of it is on point man! I just have a few notes to try to push the fun and more cartoony expressions. Please do take a quick look at dj's notes file too for small details like keeping the collar tight and snappy, the shape of the collar and the way he manipulates the fringe (which was all his idea, and I really liked it so we should run with that).

Also, my example I had her reach down before the cough pose, which may be too suggestive and uncomfortable, so perhaps having her reach up or swing into it, it's totally up to you, everything after your section is all example and you don't need to follow it exactly. Please make it your own. The rear bouncy arm on second inspection could be more effective if kept stiff to oppose the bounce of the other arm and support the rigid annoyed attitude in her overall pose."

If this is helpful, please share it with a friend or let me know how it might be helpful to you! And again, please follow and show some love to @Abu!
