Trail Etiquette and Basic Techniques (MTB 101 EP2)

Direct link: https://vimeo.com/586419948/3b177c5317

One year after the first episode, we finally got around to doing the second episode of MTB 101. See a pattern here? I'm kind of enjoying doing series...

People really enjoyed that first video, and with all the new riders out there it makes sense to take it a step further. Even if you already understand this stuff, I hope you enjoy it anyway!

Just wait til you ride with one. The video doesn't really do the dropper post justice. Riding with out one is just plain dumb unless you are competing at a very high level in a sport that doesn't require constant bike/body separation. Again, top level athletes. All you amateur XC racers need to get a dropper. haha.

would 10/10 not recommend telling anyone to "throw their weight back as far as they can" at any point in time on a bike. Otherwise, video is dialed. Back to the weight thing, people hear "get back" and they completely lock their arms and lose all control of the front wheel. They also can't hold the front of the bike up JUST because all their weight is back. I would say there's a minimum of two other things required, which is preloading the suspension and driving your heels down through the pedals. An actual mtb coach would probably add 100 things to even that. But if someone ONLY watches this video and thinks they can go try a manual off a drop they are just dumb. They will at the very least watch 20 other "how to manual videos" if they are trying to actually learn a new skill through watching videos because there's so much content on that already out there. (and more coming I'm sure).

Hey friends, can someone tell me where those 4 progressive drops in the video are located? I live in the area, but am still fairly new and I think that looks like excellent practice! Thanks in advance to anyone who can help

Great for beginners

The more I see your videos, the more I understand how much I need to get me a dropper post

My cousin who I used to ride with a lot(he doesn't ride much anymore) is the guy who is 30min late then has to do a complete mechanical overhaul and adjust every possible thing on his bike before you can ride. I love him like a brother but he made me insane.

😂

Doug?

Not to be rude, but "is it okay to take a piss on a table top" is a pretty dumb question

i just ordered one of those killer jerseys today \MM/
