I love tools as much as the next person, but some of the things that will improve your home bike shop aren't so obvious. Today, we'll talk about some of the things here at Berm Peak that make us more efficient and effective at doing bike projects.

Grandpa-fy your Home Bike Shop with these 10 Upgrades

I am both organized (label maker, parts bins, shelving, all the sockets to my imperial/metric husky set from 20 years ago) and cluttered (leave the power tools where I last used 'em, piles of assorted crap everywhere, saw dust, spend first two hours of each project hunting down tools, [or just buying another one cause it's hopeless.]) I have always envied and admired your setup as a form of workshop porn. I think your shop is a true reflection of your personal focus, organization, energy and attention to details. As mine is of my shortcomings.

For a shock or lever rebuild that would be real nice

Unless you count humans

Living in Japan, we have Bento lunches. Supermarkets sell Bentos in large plastic trays with deep partitions. Premium Bentos have up to 10 different sized partitions. I always have one ready to go at maintainence time. Next level beyond a paper plate. They have been my favourite hack. Here is a picture of of one I used just yesterday http://imgur.com/gallery/o03t2iC

Oscar WAS NOT impressed with the label maker. Great vid!

Well this makes me want to go tidy my workshop. Thaks Seth

I think a decent set of metric p handle hex wrenches are definitely an essential tool

"I love tools as much as the next person" - I would tend to disagree on that 🙂 I mean, I really LIKE my tools and all, but I think you relationship goes deeper 😉

No animals were hurt in the filming of this video?

This is where The Mostly Mike sHOW's "Achille's Heel" lies. I am honest to my "scatter-brained" faults on being disorganized, and will soon be moving my new bike shop from my crowded basement to Coco Villa. I have some of these ideas in use, but will definitely use more more of your ideas to brink my bike shop to the next level! Great video!
