So THATS why the combat felt different from the rest of the season

2025-03-18 01:14:17 +0000 UTCI haven't caught up with the Re:Zero reactions (and likely wont for a while) but I wanted to skip to this ep in particular just so I could see that Vincent Chansard sequence (the part of the fight that was animated like crazy). The guy's been making a name for himself as an animator, mostly from his work on recent One Piece arcs, but also his recent work on Jujutsu Kaisen 2x17...which he unfortunately most likely wont return to because of MAPPA (stuff I already brought up during the JJK reactions). Vincent's like Yutaka Nakamura, he takes something that could be just "good" and makes it into a fucking spectacle.
