In hindsight this is one of the things that really hurt the writing. Autobattle is... It just kills it when the AI does it for you.

Buuut anime logic: no one but the main character can kill the boss lol Maybe it's explained in the light novels, but I laughed pretty hard when Rimuru pulled "auto-battle" bullshit out. Like, we never saw him use such an OP tactic before or even talk about it with Great Sage, but suddenly he can. XD
