Really good breakdown, could even be that Faraday is the cautionary tale behind "trust no one" and by breaking her rule she was proven right.
I dunno, just seens like a poetic way to tie the loose end of Faraway & Kiwi if they did indeed have some prior history

tying back into the end of last episode, there has been much debate about kiwi's betrayal and why she did it. personally, i think there are three potential reasons that are the most likely ones.
reason number 1, she didn't actually know until it was too late. let's think back for a moment, faraday only came to her with the mission to find a mysterious runner going after arasaka. they didn't actually know who it was, until they sprung the trap and captured lucy at the end of the last episode. only once they had already caught her and kiwi got an opportunity to snoop around in her brain, did she learned about her connection to arasaka and what she did during the botched mission where maine and dorio died, at which point she realized they were fucked, given how secretive arasaka was about the project and what they would do to anyone who knew about it. at that point, there was really only one way to go for her.
reason number 2, she doesn't really have any proper connection to the group. out of all of them, she only really seemed to have had sort of a relationship with maine and dorio and they died - though not before maine went psycho and almost killed her during the botched mission. there also seems to be a bit of animosity with the way david's been treating her, plus that he seems to only see her as a tool to be used whenever lucy isn't around, even though she has seniority over her, with her being the one who introduced lucy into the group and all. so what reason does she actual have to stick around? especially with the obvious sings of david going psycho. better to leave the sinking ship before it can drag you down with it.
reason number 3, there seems to be some familiarity between her and faraday. the way they interact with each other and certain phrases used, indicate that they might have had a thing in the past. faraday actually being a former lover of sorts of kiwi would explain why she so readily trusts him, despite her "you can trust no one" mantra. it also ties back into point 2, with her not really having any real connection to the team, so why not go with someone she has a personal history with instead?
ultimately, i can't fully blame her for what she did. yeah, it sucks and is a giant dick move, but given what she knew and the obvious path of self-destruction the rest of the group was on, it was the most rational thing to do. i might not like it, but i can understand it.
