2021-12-23 03:44:55 +0000 UTCahhh, the good old trope of the blue oni and the red oni. just like with the black and white of the yin-yang symbol, red and blue have long since been used in eastern media to symbolise opposites, with each color representing a certain state of mind. the blue oni represents logical thinking, serenity and control. these are the characters that value intelligence and often come of as somewhat aloof. in a battle, they calmly and carefully analyse a situation and come up with a suitable battle tactic before engaging the enemy. the red oni meanwhile represents emotion, wildness and passion. they are the loud brash ones, that are more about living in the moment. in a batlle, they usually are rather impulsive and just jump in and adjust to the situation as they go along. so if champa asks why they always seem to get on each other nerves, that's because they are literally made to do so.... not unlike goku (red uniform) and vegeta (blue uniform) really.
