Yiff Moon update coming this week!

Now that some time has passed, we have a few things to say and want to share with you the changes to the game.

First of all, let's talk about the Unity scandal.

Maybe some of you have already heard what Unity had planned for next year with their "Unity plan pricing and packaging".

I don't want to go into too much detail here, it was really bad and would have caused us to have to change our engine or go out of business.

Unity had revised their "Unity plan pricing and packaging" after a lot of critics and strikes.

It is now possible for us to continue but the trust in Unity is very low right now.

We will continue, but if there is another scandal from Unity, we will be forced to change the engine and start all over again.

Let's hope for the best.

Now to the launcher.

The update comes without the launcher, there are still some things to work on.

The launcher will come a few weeks later.

To the update of the game.

1.

From now on characters and maps will be added via StreamingAssets.

The game will be uploaded without characters and maps, for the characters and maps there will be extra downloads.

They will be added in the folder Yiff Moon 0.1\Yiff_Moon_Data\StreamingAssets.

More detailed installation information can be found in the Donwlaod folder.

Ram consumption has been significantly reduced.

But maps need a bit longer to load.

There is now a loading scene with loading bars when loading maps.

Lights have been heavily reworked and lightmaps have a better quality.

This gives more performance and better lighting conditions.

Faulty light settings have also been revised.

5.

The game is now on a stable point, so we want to go into beta with the update.

There is still a lot we want to add and when the launcher is ready there will be faster updates again.

Adding your own content.

It is already possible to add your own characters and maps with this update.

We just need to prepare a documentation and SDK.

So this won't take so long anymore.
