It was based on a character from the comic Rhodekijn & Zijderick, which appeared in the magazine Sjors in the mid-70s, by Henk 't Jong, a cartoonist who was also a medievalist. It's so obscure now that it's even hard to find images online, but I used the title character as a model for this goblin, as kind of an easter egg that no one got.
