Week 13-14 progress update
Added 2023-02-11 17:04:31 +0000 UTCI spent the last two weeks creating animations for my video about length contraction. This is by far the longest and most ambitious video I have created so far. It’ll be around 10 minutes long and will be narrated.
I am doing my best to make the video entertaining and instructive. It is proving to be quite hard, though. A lot of the skills required to complete this work are new to me. Art and graphics design, storytelling, video editing, voice acting, audio editing. It is now clear to me that I underestimated how much effort it'll take to put this video together, but I am still convinced this is the right thing to do. Having a small crowd of people that follows what I am doing and gives me feedback and suggestions is the very first thing I need. The success of the video will also give me a sense of how feasible the whole project is. So I’ll give it my best shot.
While putting together the animations, I also tweaked and improved all the animation infrastructure I have. Two weeks working on this have been a bit exhausting, I have to say. I plan to take a one or two days break next week and go back to programming. This is just to relax a bit and give my mind some time to breathe, before I go back and continue with the video work.
