12ga. CLUSTER BUCK - Devastating Defense Round Concept
Added 2022-09-19 06:13:39 +0000 UTCEvery once in a while I am able to demonstrate my own oddball concepts. This idea, we take two clusters of buckshot and load them into a simple target shell. This makes for a very low recoil round but doesn't compromise velocity.

It's possible that powder coating the shot in a former would work. I used a ring of empty shell to hold the shot while I soldered it. Still not a very efficient way to join the three together but do-able. Def easier than drilling holes. Of course I don't know if they will hold together as well as the copper wire. You'll need to shoot them first :)
2022-09-19 23:06:45 +0000 UTCWorked for me. I made a crude video while doing it. I can send you the shells. I do electronics for a hobby and there were a few tricks I used. Namely, flux. Secondly, very good temp controlled iron, 800 F. Without flux it didn't work.

2022-09-19 21:24:52 +0000 UTCHow about soldering the three 00 buck ? Should be pretty easy and quick. In fact, I'll try it today. I can also send you some loaded examples if it solders easy. Thinking of using WAA12SL cup perhaps with a round foam circle between the two groups.
