We test the Brenneke Super Sabot

We finally got a day cool enough to film and not burn out my cameras.  One of OG's viewers sent him these slugs a couple months ago and was pretty impatient for us to shoot them.   He would email Gregg every week and Gregg would tell me about it.  I told Gregg to explain to him that we needed to test these on a cool day,  not only making it easier for us to shoot nearly 20 slugs in one sitting (about 5 hours of filming)  which would probably kill us if we did it in 105 temps,   but filming in lower temperatures also gives factory ammo the best results.   This seems to be especially true for European made ammo.

Everything was flexible. I may reload the few I have left with different components and test them on an even hotter day to see if I can fix it.

Those shells seemed really old for some reason - and age-hardened?

Maybe they'll be good for deer hunting up in WI or MI, eh? I have some .38 Special that's been sitting inside of my pickup outdoors in Iowa at least 5 years, I'm wondering if they have deteriorated.
