726 grain "12 ga. from hell" slugs -tested!

We test out Richard F's  custom-made all copper slugs.   Richard has been able to get these to 2000 fps using around 220 grains of powder.  We don't have a shotgun with a 4" chamber and asking anyone to shoot more than one of those in a row would be cruel. The recoil is brutal.   I loaded these with both 36 grains of Longshot and Steel powder and got an average of 1200 fps  -  supersonic.   A 1.66 oz.  slug at that speed is probably equal to the recoil of a 1oz slug at over 2000 fps.

You'll notice that I had to block out,  NOT the shotgun,  but the side-saddle on Gregg's gun.   Youtube considers this a "modification"  as if we converted the gun to full-auto.   They also considered the flashlight on the the same shotgun a modification so we covered that with blue masking tape.   Yeah it's crazy how they review videos but  I've learned a  lot about how they think and I'm having fewer videos demonetized after being in the new review program.

That's good news for everyone because it means I can again let  patrons know things are getting better and if you need to alter or eliminate your pledge,   it's not a problem.

I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

I’m thinking of moving the center of mass forward.

Edward Nutter

I was thinking the groove in the center MIGHT make it function like a diabolo. Nope lol

TAOFLEDERMAUS

It would probably weigh only 1 oz if it were a HP. Probably do hollow point stuff lol

TAOFLEDERMAUS

I'm in a new program where they will actually tell me the exact issue why a video gets demonetized. (like showing a flashlight or sidesaddle on the shotgun) If I can keep the videos monetized, I can ask patrons to cut back too.

I guess the guy that won the last give away didn't want it (F111 panel) so I need to get off my butt and get another giveaway posted.

A couple videos back I learned that just having a flashlight on a gun is a big taboo to Youtube. It's bizarre. But we aren't making videos about shotgun accessories and putting some masking tape over a flashlight isn't a big deal if that's what it takes. Can't argue with them, they think their rules have some validity.

What Dr. Strangelove said, plus... I’m a wimp so I put a V6 muzzle brake on my smoothbore so I could practice with foster slugs. That would sure help with a round like this. I still think that drilling some material out of the back of this slug or that Lehigh Defender on steroids could get them to stabilize out of a smoothbore.

Great test, I wonder how this slug would perform in a hollow point configuration? BTW, there's a new platform for videos called Rumble, if you move there, I'll follow you. The way the current political situation is looking, YT probably will not improve for freedom lovers.

Dr. Strangelove

A 1.66 ounce slug! That thing has to have a devil of a recoil.

Eugene Luder

Great video, I love to load them hot! Not dangerous hot, but, know you shot some big lead, hot!

Chris Cherry

I want that last sunburst slug please. Please!

Glad you guys aren't getting "Demonized" as much. Geoff gets way down when it happens too often. Big hugs guys.

Whatever, you guys will still get my pledges. That slug at the end would be a great giveaway... just sayin. Keep up the good work!

Free Britney? What'd she do, widely miss the center dot by a 32nd of an inch?

It's sickening to see social media platforms like YouTube applying their nonsensical rules in the hope of finding some gotcha to justify demonetizing a video... for the creator but not YouTube. They still make plenty of ad revenue. Gun owners should be accustomed to nonsensical rules, arbitrarily applied. In addition to being unconstitutional, anti-gun laws are also utter nonsense. These social media companies hide behind their status as platforms for other people's content so they're not responsible for what people post on their servers, but then they censor us and prevent us from communicating freely and they use the excuse that they're somehow responsible for our content. They're getting to have their cake and eat it too.

If you punch it right in the sweet spot everything gets wet lmao. The Og never disappoints 😂

I had a comment but I'll keep it to myself. Impressive slug can't imagine the damage it would do at 2000 FPS.

Sounds like Little Tony for the monetization win
