Rocket Nozzle Shotgun Slugs

In order to fly under the radar of Youtube's censors (they really don't understand what we are doing)  I had to be a little cagey about HOW we propelled these slugs.  The focus is on the slugs,  not the shotgun, anyways.    I used slightly  varying powder charges to control the velocities.

thank you again for your support!

Yes, I couldn't get enough air speed to replicate the sound though.

They're propelled by a deflagration piston device, maybe?

you might try replacing all boomstick sounds with your professional grade mouth driven sound effects. Like, bang poooo zooooom

Did you by any chance ever try blowing compressed air through the nozzle to see if the noise you hear is the same as the noise heard when it was fired? It could just be a resonant wave in that cavity making the noise as the air blows around it, rather than through it. Just a thought. Also, even when the projectile is traveling subsonic, with that projectile form, air can still be forced into supersonic flow through displacement. You can see that even on a smooth ogive bullet at subsonic speed in schlieren image photos, as well as hear the crack of the sonic boom. Again, that's with a typical ogive, as opposed to the blunt, wadcutter shape of this projectile, which would displace the air far more aggressively.

Charging up the trebuchet. HA!~

They're propelled using a mixture of unicorn tears and kitten farts.

Cannon.... Catapult.... so many aggressive words!!!! :O

Arukino

Interesting projectile.
