Why I appreciate you so much

It is completely demoralizing when our videos get demonetized.   Unfortunately it has only gotten worse.   It is kind of like getting your paycheck and instead of paying you for all the hours you worked,   someone decided that the work you didn't wasn't suitable to be paid.   You'd probably start calling in sick while you went to other companies to interview for a new job.

This photo represents only around 1/6th of the videos that YT has demonetized.   There's almost 150 videos that have been hobbled by them.

If we didn't have your support on Patreon,   I would just stop producing videos and go back to work so I can pay the bills.

Because of your support,   we have the motivation to continue and I can't thank you enough.

I don't have any problems finding places to post videos. It is more about putting the video in a place where it is monetized and will actually get views.

TAOFLEDERMAUS

Probably not. I don't know exactly which advertisers would have been on my videos.

TAOFLEDERMAUS

I can only guess, but using certain words in the tags, desc. or title will flag it. I imagine saying certain words may trigger it. Also, I'm sure there are viewers that flag my videos. The reviewers probably just use their own judgment and that can be very biased. It's usually just luck if a video slips through the cracks and stays monetized these days if guns are involved.

TAOFLEDERMAUS

How does YouTube decide what is and isn't advert friendly? Do the advertisers ever ask the viewers? There are plenty of gun videos with gun ads run before them that I see. Demolition Ranch magically had 3 ads from B&H run against his recent video where he shot fire extenguishers and actually hurt himself in the process. That channel started with custom homemade shotgun shells as well! He did lose those videos though with the gunpocalypse on YouTube, but he still gets ads. He even ran an ad of his own in the video for Optics Planet, which is a place you can buy gun parts and optics and left a link directly to where to buy the items in his video comments and description. That is against TOS but YouTube still monetized that video. It's like they are specifically after you because you speak out against them.

Thought of trying Vimeo and then creating a blog or something with vimeo content. I can host wordpress blogs if you are interested and will do a deal for you if you want on hosting. You can have a whole year FREE then pay a nominal 60 USD per year going forwards for hosting. Hosting will be based in UK. The wordpress service I have is cached and backed up, it's pretty fast as well

Do you think advertisers are interested in viewer opinions? Or would that cause even more issues?

It's a bit of both really. Youtube wants to control what people see and think, and companies that are lead by majority leftists similar to those at youtube wish to force youtube and other platforms to limit content. This is not how the internet is supposed to operate. It should be a domain of pure freedom. User interaction should remain free and unrestricted, bar for things that are illegal in your own country subjecting you to the legal repercussions. It should absolutely never be about limiting content or speech.

We got you covered bossman!

It's becoming clear that YT is just using advertisers as an excuse for demonetizing content.

TAOFLEDERMAUS

I'm curious to know something about the advertisers that find your content "unsuitable" or too "graphic", "violent", or whatever they want to use as an excuse to reject it. Do they ever advertise with upcoming movies? Also, what other venues do they utilize for advertising purposes? And why have they become so critical of content affiliation in such a short time? How is it that ALL of them have so very suddenly become so choosy? And why are they constantly tightening the loop of their intolerance?

And this is why we back you, so you don't have to go to a real job and can continue to make videos to entertain us. We appreciate you too Jeff :)

I appreciate you guys because your fucking awesome

Mike Mcauliffe

I'm not sure what we would do with it, slugs would bounce off it and just look dangerous (to youtube that is) I appreciate the offer though.

TAOFLEDERMAUS

I live near you. Would like to donate a 1” x 18” x 20” billet aluminum plate.

Only this channel and Jayztwocents have every single video of theirs watched by me. Been a long time fan and actually wish there was a larger option, say an 8 dollar tier. Maybe some stickers I could buy or a t-shirt.

Isaac Reed

no I don't

TAOFLEDERMAUS

A few years ago every video we did was acceptable for advertisers. No problem then!

TAOFLEDERMAUS

Not suitable for most advertisers? Entertainment is now not suitable? The advertisers don't care about the number of eyes on their ads - only what is getting the eyes there? Since when? This social engineering by leftist bullying is sickening. YouTube needs regulating out of the censorship business. Glad to be a patron.
