That's a really cool idea! I actually fix the shoe problem in episode 26, using a different solution, but your idea I think is much cooler.

As I write this you are up to PC 29 (I am only caught up to PC 24), so you may have already solved this, but I had a suggestion. You say in this video that you are not happy with Kei's shoes because they are too high, and the design is troubling in various poses. Since she is a space waitress, why not allow that the higher technology of that world would also apply to clothing. Why not have her shoes be able to change at will for various heights, etc.? i.e. When she is waitressing, she could have the heels pumped up higher for show, and when running or something she could have them set lower as flats. That would also allow for a sudden spring upward to help her jump, or allow shock absorption on a fall. High tech shoes, the only way to fly.
