Added 2024-05-30 08:55:38 +0000 UTCThe Fens Sheriffs Dept is a huge, impressive mod. But it's also very buggy. The author left modding when it got a lot of backlash because people didn't like the views the author had and how they're included in the mod. And so a lot of issues with the mod remain unfixed. Additionally, the player voice is AI generated, which is expressly against the wishes of the voice actor for FO4's female protagonist. The mod author removed the player voice in the most up to date release, but the files with it in are still available and I never bothered to upgrade to the version dropping it, so it was still in the list. The balance for it is also so far out that even despite by best attempts to rework the mod it remains an outlier in an otherwise well balanced list. So, I've made the decision that the mod works better as an opt-in experience, for people who specifically want it, and are aware of the various issues the mod has and willing to deal with them, and therefore shouldn't be included by default in the list. When I get some time I'll evaluate either the Left Field Diner standalone mod or The Bleachers as a potentially more restrained alternative. If there's interest among users for adding it back for their own lists, I'll do a How-To article on how I had it set up.
Coming in is the new Minutemen overhaul You and What Army 2. I'm still working on my new settlement crafting mods, the script to generate the patches is finished, now I just need to make them, but those will be included in the final version of the list. My loose plan is to also add back a decent amount of settlement crafting things, but lock them behind the minutemen quest line, such that the minutemen questline is the core "settlement building" experience for the modlist.

Several of the redundant uniques have been swapped out for new modded weapons that offer unique rechambers for their weapon class. I've also added a new Linked Dropbox to settlement crafting, that should make setting up a forward operating base much easier. FSD Has finally come out, along with a couple location mods that weren't really up to the standard I want in the list. Also coming in is You and What Army 2.
