Hey, Max! I wanted to suggest an 8 minute Queen Charlotte cast interview. The show is currently popular on Netflix and the cast is entertaining to watch https://youtu.be/KDMi9_L7v_g

People often say that Changbin seems scary but like people honestly sleep on him too much. He's my ult though so what can I say. But he wrote Neverending Story and Sorry, I Love you and Because I Love You. Like he's honestly the sweetest most amazing person

And now we can segue into this: https://youtu.be/_Zv_K-v8uTI 😄 Skz x JYP interview, where Chan explains why he chose the members. This is from November 2020.

Have you reacted to 2 Kids Room Bangchan and Han before? Han is Chan’s first stray kid, they know each other the longest. Would love it if you could react to their dynamic.

If you’re interested on more of the SKZ/JYP relationship compared to BangPD/BTS.. BTS was like the make it or break it for BH, whereas JYP had a bunch of successful groups and wouldn’t fail if SKZ did. So JYP didn’t have to be as personally invested. BangPD also only has 2 groups and JYP has 10, so there’s a huge difference in how much time can be committed to each individual. SKZ are also a special case since they had a lot of group autonomy compared to most kpop groups (especially popular groups/groups from known companies). Outside of some survival show created groups, usually management is highly involved in the selection and training of members in a predebut group and can get close to them that way, whereas JYP put Chan in charge of that aspect and evaluated their progress for approval instead. SKZ basically being a company experiment to see what happens if the company isn’t as involved + their boss being split between many groups = they don’t have as close a relationship with a mentor. They do have managers and staff they work with, but it’s not similar to BangPDs dynamic. I believe his dynamic with BTS isn’t common for kpop either, and was necessary but also possible because of how small bighit was. Both groups are abnormal in this situation. The exception being that Chan has one of the stronger relationships with JYP in his company since he was basically raised in the company. Which is presumably a reason they let him have so much control in the first place.
