Seventeen Hit The Road Episode 3 & 4 (Uncut: 54 Minutes)

Please continue to react to the rest of the series, thank you for this one :) Also the members have talked about how Scoups is their pillar, his presence especially when they are around other people gives them confidence, Scoups takes an active role in dealing with company, as in going into meetings and putting forward the group's request etc, he makes sure that they receive what they deserve, he does put a protective bubble around them, and it also allows other members to carry out their own roles well without having to worry. He is also as described by the members someone who needs a lot love and attention, and those moments you can see him relax and have fun and enjoy himself, you will see more of it in Going Seventeen for sure. He is a leader that doesn't force or uses his authority over the group in a way where other members dont have a say, instead he wants that equality which makes the group feel heard about everything. Hoshi is of course a the cutest talented hardworking tiger lol

Now that you mention it. I would love to see in the soop season 2 ep 2. I was in awe watching that Joshua Seungkwan moment. I just love how the conversation went. Joshua was great navigating that and if I’m in Seungkwan’s situation that is I want someone to approach me especially as someone who really keeps things to myself most of the time

Hi from Brazil! (: I just love that you're reacting to Seventeen Hit The Road. It's a great way to get to know more about the boys. I think you would also like the "In The Soop" series. The first season is amazing and the second one is great as well, but there are only two episodes so far. (Warning: all the episodes are more than one hour long, but it's so worth it, cause it's basically just them interacting with each other without worrying about the cameras, so you get this huge sense of reality). Thank you so much for the reactions!

please react to part 2 of Seventeen's TTT.

I fell in love with Hoshi after his fanboying stories about SHINee 😍😍😍😍

Human Chess (Parts 1&2), Christmas In August 1&2, Going vs Seventeen 1&2, Lets Go! Seventeen 1&2, Dont Lie III 1&2, Kickball 1&2, Best Friends 1&2, SVT's Kitchen for Two, Infinite Going 1&2 and GSVT E-Triathlon 1-3 (Highly recommend since he and Wonwoo are considered the gamers and Scoups is very competitive in this)

Loved your thoughts! Scoups can absolutely get competitive and feisty, it's a prominent trait of his, but I find it to be more situational. Certain episodes of Going Seventeen really show it, primarily ones that are related to some form of game, he'll care the most about winning either as the team he is on or solo, he also tends to bicker with Mingyu a lot but they are also very close and tend to go out a lot together when they have free time (He has said Mingyu understands him well and takes care of him.) He often tends to act like he is one of the youngest since he is the youngest child in his own family, but he is absolutely competitive. I'll list some examples of Going Seventeen as a reply to this comment that show that in case you'd like to check them out!

Hoshi is my daughter’s ultimate bias. Even Tae takes a backseat to Hoshi for that girl. And that’s saying alot lol

I think S.Coups can be goofy and childish a lot of the time but he knows when he needs to be serious for the sake of the team! He doesn't like being a bossy and strict leader (though it is needed at times and he definitely steps up then) so he likes to blend in more with them and joke around with them when he can but when it comes down to it he definitely takes taking care of the members seriously. In a solo interview he even said once that objectively he does not care about what their company wants them to do or thinks, his only concern and focus is on what the members want and how the members feel and has gotten in fights with the company over it before trying his best to communicate what the members need and prefer compared to what the company wants from them or is willing to give. At the time of the filming of this documentary S.Coups was dealing with severe anxiety and went on a complete mental health hiatus (no posting on social media, no public appearances, no Going Seventeen filming ect.) for around 5 months. After coming back from his hiatus I do feel he is a bit different from what he used to be but in a good way, he seems a lot more comfortable and relaxed and a lot happier. Of course, anxiety and most mental health disorders never "go away" completely so i'm sure it's something he's still dealing with but it seems he's gotten a better grip on how to go about handling his mental health and I love to see it~

i feel like hoshi is the svt member that's VERY transparant so it's always fun everytime you describes him perfectly lol (though obviously i don't know him personally as well) also i would want to recommend their 7th anniversary special video 'Chapter7:teen' which you could find on their official yt channel. it's very interesting to hear each of their honest, different thoughts. and thank you for continuing this Hit The Road series!

Coups is definitely feisty! It might just be the specific seventeen content that you’ve seen that makes him seem more serious and subdued, but he’s really not like that. He is honestly probably one of the more immature leaders in Kpop and you can kind of get the sense he doesn’t really exactly enjoy playing the leader role (being serious and strict and having a lot of responsibility) and is comfortable letting woozi and hoshi play that role more often. (coups is the youngest in his family) i think rather than content like this, it’s easier to see his personality in going seventeen where he is a lot more comfortable and doesn’t really feel the need to reign himself in and tone himself down. i would recommend the more “intellectual” and competitive going seventeen episodes like “catch stock”, “don’t lie iii”, and “good offer”. i also HIGHLY recommend the “going radio show” episode not just to get to know scoups but to get to know all of them and also this episode would be a lot more your alley because it’s really about communication. basically in that episode they kind of pretend theyre radio djs and they listen to a bunch of scenarios sent in and talk about their opinions, give advice, etc. in that episode the members kind of make jabs at coups a lot so it really gives you a sense of what kind of person/leader he is and how they perceive him and also how defensive he gets about it lol. this has also been recommended a lot but the going seventeen episode “know thyself” (both i and ii but frankly i think even only the 1st part is fine) where they all take mbti tests for the other members would be good too. you see clearly there how they perceive each other and how they react to being perceived in that way. coups and seungkwan in particular get REALLY defensive. lol also since it's the entire group doing 1 task you can see how they communicate in smaller groups, who takes the lead, who lets others lead, who gets annoyed when others take the lead it would be really interesting to see your thoughts on how they communicate in that episode!

Thanks for reacting to this serie really ! I really enjoy rewatching it with you

I can't say it enough, I really appreciate you reacting to this series. I was actually looking forward to your reaction to S.coups' episode... it's a difficult one, but it really just made me admire him more. I feel like his leadership is so different from others, I believe he puts a lot of effort to be the best leader for seventeen and carats, you can tell he doesn't take that responsibility lightly. I'm so glad that he got to be part of every single show for last year's tour, he seemed so happy on stage and so proud of his team. On another note, Jeonghan getting sick at the same time was so unfortunate and I believe it was hard for him not only at a personal level, but also because I think he's S.coups' main support as a leader, so not being able to step up during his absence must have been hard (can't wait for his episode as well). As for Hoshi... well he is a star that was born to be on stage, anyone can see it and I love that his members are supportive of his limitless ambition. I truly think that the key to SVT's success (apart from their talent) is this weird but perfect mix of personalities in a single team, I truly believe they balance each other out perfectly and that's why we can't help but fall for a group like this. Can't wait for the next episodes. As always, I really enjoyed your comments

Sorry one more comment, S.Coups's anxiety is something he probably still deals with and i wanna say, it says a lot that he resigned with the group. And nowadays, thankfully the others take the lead a lot and he did change a lot since this tour, which is also why you may see him differently. He's definitely quieter than the first few years, but he seems more relaxed now.

Angie

Also, S.Coups gets feisty when it comes to certain games and being very competitive. I also think he has a short temper, which is why he said he had to change the way he speaks, cause he can come off as...aggressive? So he's changed a lot! You see it in Going Seventeen MBTI episodes from 2022 or the Christmas in August episodes from 2020 :) but yes, he can be more quiet, it depends. Like you said, i think he's okay with putting attention on the others and doesnt NEED attention but also can shine if he wants to (similar to Jun or the8 or wonwoo).I just think its funny the one time he doesnt bicker back with Mingyu was here, cause he actually butts heads with him a lot :')

Angie

this was RIGHT before covid. Actually i went to their newark concert and that day coming back was when i saw the first news about the virus (it was in january). I genuinely think Dino, who gets sick later, had covid cause his symptoms were very in line with it. They had to cancel the rest of the tour after the US leg.
