My pleasure, Lara -- glad you enjoyed it!~

Your reaction to this video was definitely one of the reasons that eventually got me into subscribing to your patreon because I just needed to see your full reaction to it. I really love not only the original video but also your reaction, your analysis, the things that you pointed out... (But also, how dare you ask how we're doing? By that point, I was about as much of a crying puddle as Hyunjin because each time the video kept playing, I'd just continue crying.) Truly, thank you for your reaction to this video. I hadn't seen it on my own, actually, but watching it with your reaction just made it all the more meaningful and... I guess also in a way more digestible? Because we had breaks during which you would say things and you'd talk about what you saw and how you relate that to STAYs, to your own experiences, to your own studies... And that was really good to see. Thank you!

Lara

I love this breakdown! Amazing to see their different ways of dealing with emotions, of communicating with their STAY. For Hyunjin (I mention him in particular bc 1. he's my bias, but 2. I think his "speech" diverts most from the others), I feel like he's in general living much time inside his head and working through his feelings, through how he perceives the world, how his environment makes him feel and how he might fit into it. He's very sensitive and yet also extremely expressive through his art, and I feel like although his speech was way more chaotic and incoherent than the others, what he did there was letting STAY in and see the raw emotions raging through him like a hurricane. Basically, he let STAY see the real him, not put together and cautious and trying to fit in, but breaking down then and there and giving the fans his honest, vulnerable, exhausted but grateful self. And that might not happen all that often from Hyunjin because he is, after all, very sensitive to his environment, thinks about his words a lot etc. His speech is a high contrast to that, and I think that's what actually makes it so very special and also triggers a protective instinct in STAY and also SKZ. It's very interesting to see a lot of the others speeches as well. Felix is, despite his loving, affectionate nature and behavior, also incredibly focused and goal-oriented - calm, as it seems, from the outside, until he breaks down into tears. Innie (I.N.) and Seungmin care so deeply, too, and can articulate it in such a poignant way sometimes, and Lee Know is, although tsundere, very soft on the inside. Bang Chan is really soft-hearted as well, as all of them are, and I'm surprised time and time again how much SKZ love STAY and seek to connect with them. It's heartwarming and definitely reciprocated, and there's this notion among many STAY of "We love seeing your stages, but we adore seeing your genuine happiness and goofiness in your normal lives". I think it's really fascinating, but it *feels* like sincere warmth, and it actually made my heart overflow and cry with them when I saw this video, so the effect tof their rawness even hrough the screen is immense. Thank you for this awesome reaction video, my eyes are salty and red now, but I feel very satisfied :)

This and the speeches from their concert last year always make me bawl. They were so incredibly vulnerable in both of these and i'm so grateful for it. Grateful that they feel this is a safe space where they can share their feelings like this. I also wanna add, in some fancams from this you can actually see Lee know get really emotional as well and swallow his tears. He might not be one to openly show it a lot but i'm sure he feels the same way as the members

Thank you for this analysis and for sharing this with us. As a stay this moment will always be important and close to our hearts. It is important to share our feelings with each other, not only when things are going great but also our hardships. I think one of the reasons the stray kids fandom and BTS fandoms are so die hard is because there is a two way street of sharing and caring. Both groups had rough beginnings and they prevailed by the support of their fandoms and by them supporting Stay and Army. This has forged very strong bonds where the group and their fandom always want to do what is best for each other. It is rare to see the connection being as raw and strong as this and that is why I love being a Stay personally. I feel like I belong and have a family. Whenever I have a shitty day I watch "It's Lee Knows Restaurant", "Two kids song", "Fandom Tour" etc. Their bond with each other and their openness makes me so happy to see. I love seeing how long them have come and the potential of how far they can reach. In my life they are a beacon of light that makes me feel less lonely and motivated to work harder to reach my dreams. Your video analysis also makes me so happy to see and the community you yourself have created. Great work and keep on being awesome! Thank you for making my lunch and dinner breaks more manageable and fun. Have an amazing day! <3

I saw that people recommended you react to their speeches from the 3rd day of the Seoul concert of their Maniac tour. I've only seen links from the Beyond Live stream and those subtitles were done live and are not very accurate, but still would be able to get the gist of what they are saying. Here is a link to a fancam that has more coherent subtitles for Bang Chan's, Hyunjin's, Seungmin's and Changbin's speeches: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vtnfErsRVg

I was about to recommend you the speeches they gave at the 3rd day in Seoul concert this past year, but someone else did! Still, you should watch it, it made me cry when I watched it live with my sisters, we were all crying our eyes out... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEJFp_Mn7Tc&t=4s

Every time I see stray kids emotional I can’t help but also get emotional if you wanna see their emotional side like this one I recommend a lot is https://youtu.be/aEJFp_Mn7Tc This was in 2022 the 3rd day in Seoul for their first tour with a live audience since before covid started their last tour was 2019/2020 and most of the shows were cancelled because it was right at the start of the pandemic. You get to really see how much seeing stay in person really impacts them and the connections and moments between members is amazing definitely one of my favorites. Another of my favorites is the ending comments from their Sydney show in Australia in 2019 it was their first concert in both Chan and Felix’s hometown. I especially like this one because of how emotional Felix and especially Bang Chan got during this speech. It had been around 8 years since Chan had last been home and about 2 years since Felix had been home. So Chan was incredibly emotional but the speeches Felix and Chan gave were so heartfelt.

Great analysis! Thanks so much! You were quite impressed with I.N and I'd love to see your thoughts on one of his lives. He does them pretty often where he will chat with Stay, sing, do games, etc. Just hang out with Stay. This live is more recent. You could watch the whole thing, but I will point out that Hyunjin arrives unexpectedly at around 19:15 and their interactions are really great. I think it shows a lot about their personalities and their relationship. I love to hear what you think! :) https://youtu.be/iQVEmFK0LcY

Thank you for always remembering Stray Kids! I thought you had forgotten about them 🥹

Thank you sm for doing this one. You made a lot of very good observations, as usual. I have to say, though you may not have commented on Seungmin’s communications skills that much, that I really want to communicate more like him. He talked about how nervous he was about that concert, but when he speaks publically he never seems nervous. He took his time. It was clear he was emotional, but he stayed calm and really thought about what he wanted to say. He made sure to thank everyone, including stays, the members, and all the people who made the concert possible. He also made sure to interact with stays directly when he told them not to worry about Hyunjin, and when he asked if they were excited about that day. I just love how calm, composed, thoughtful and gentle he is. About Hyunjin I think you’re right, he let it all out because he felt safe enough to do so. I mean, I’m sure it was the perfect balance of emotions, relief and comfort that made him break down like that. I do hope you understand him a bit more now. Hyunjin isn’t always expressive physically but you can still tell how much he cares about both stays and his members through his words and actions. And he is a very selfless and thoughtful person. Anyways, I’ll go look for nice recommendations and send them your way :)
