Max, I would love for you to react to SuperM, Taemin’s other group. They are a supergroup by SM Entertainment made up up Taemin, Taeyong and Mark from NCT 127, Ten and Lucas from WayV (part of NCT), and Kai and Baekhyun from EXO. Where Taemin is the maknae (youngest) in Shinee, he’s the hoobae (senior artist/most experienced) of SuperM, so they all look up to him. They wanted him to be the leader but he didn’t want to be. I’m interested in seeing what you have to say about that whole dynamic where it’s four (three technically) groups put together to make one, with different levels of experience and the experience levels have no bearing really on their age dynamic too as some started very young. Plus you have people who have been best friends for years (Taemin and Kai) and them all being coworkers but also competition in the same company. Then there is the fact three are acknowledged as top dancers in the industry (Taemin, Ten and Kai) and top vocals (Taemin and Baekhyun).

So many idols are looking up to him including seventeens Hoshi, he’s first album was SHINee album and knows every song from them. Taemin is unique, has his own style, has unique voice and sound established. When someone hears his music they recognise it as Taemin ‘s and that’s something all artist are aiming for! he worked very hard for that , and was one of the first successful soloist from kpop , who made the name outside off his group and I think , that’s inspiring for current idols, there are the hope for them too to be successful as a soloist.

2023-01-09 05:35:04 +0000 UTCTaemin is doing his military service right now (the last SHINee boy to complete his service). He returns on April 4th, 2023. He'll have both a SHINee and a SuperM comeback, most likely in the first half of the year. It's anyone's guess which will be first but my gut says SHINee's will be the end of May into June to correspond with their 15 year anniversary date (5/25). The second half of 2023 will most likely focus on SHINee and his next solo project as SuperM may need to go back into military hiatus as Kai from Exo enters his military service (or SuperM may become rotational and start swapping out more members from other SM boy groups, which is also rumored). Since Taemin is the last SHINee member to complete his military service, SHINee will no longer have to take 2 year breaks like this unless they want to for their solo careers. I have a feeling we're going to get a real SHINee Renaissance over the next several years as they finally are able to come together with no major interruptions.
