It was actually an extremely hated album when they released it because it was “too different”. Now, it’s considered their greatest album of all time. Truly ahead of its time. lmao the famous goth pants you’re referring to are called Tripp Pants fun fact: New Years Day (the first mv band in the playlist that wasn’t MIW) are actually people i know personally! they’re a local band to my home town and their bass guitarist brandon was my guitar teacher for several years even while they were on tour MIW definitely make their music with the live show in mind. it almost feels unfair to do a “dive” without any legit concert footage because that is where they shine the brightest. “halloween metal” bands became a thing because of motionless in white and their tour aesthetic which is always based around specific horror movies or halloween in general
