Commenting on toon 9/16/2010: There's an old joke. A guy named George never seems to have any luck. His dog runs off. His wife runs off with an Edsel salesman and his Flaming Carrot comic collection, his kids abandon him. So he takes a cruise, and the ship is engulfed by a tidal (seismic wave, tsunami?) and he washes up on the shores of an uncharted island. The natives there take care of him, and he meets and weds a beautiful island woman. They have five children together and live happily for 10 years, until one day the same tsunami (tidal, seismic wave?) rolls over the island washing away everybody and every thing. Except for George. And George stands on the beach crying out to God, "Dear God, why me, what did I ever do?" And then the lightning flashes, thunder rolls, the heavens open up and there stands God, and he says, "I don't know George. There's just something about you that pisses me off." Anyway, to answer Proust's question, I value my relationship to God. (And, no, I'm not being facetious.)

My first thought was my music collection - many CDs and vinyl records. The best stuff is backed up to iTunes on my PC. Then I decided on my family photos, which go from great great grandparents down to great grandchildren. Again, most of these have been scanned into the PC. So I guess the computer and disk drives and back-up disks together make up the most treasured.
