What's your favorite multiverse story? Also, create an alternate universe.

Larry Niven's "All The Myriad Ways". It's the multiverse story that ends all multiverse stories. (A fairly short story. Worth the read. You can also download the issue of Galaxy Magazine it first appeared in on Wickipedia.) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_the_Myriad_Ways My alternate universe is several billion (trillion?) years older than ours. The universe has passed it's maximum expansion and is several billions (trillions?) of years into its contraction. Astronomers and cosmologists endlessly debate what caused the Big Suck, and what will happen when everything reaches the Singularity. They've discovered the Relp-Pod effect, wherein objects moving toward H-trae, appear brighter. This wasn't easy, because the galaxies and stars are all so far apart. There are only twelve observable galaxies, but astronomers believe that there are likely others, just too far away and too dim to be seen. Oh, and O-tulp isn't a dwarf planet in this universe. =-}

I'll say "Avengers: Endgame" to avoid overthinking. By "create an alternate universe," I assume you mean for us to state the premise(s) that would set that universe off from ours, rather than to be gods. Well, for an example that mere time travel couldn't arrange, imagine one in which ravens evolved into the dominant species, preventing the rise of hominids.
