When I was 14, I discovered my father had a zoot suit (from 1946) at the back of his closet. I wore it to a Halloween party and it was a hit. :)

2023-10-30 05:51:59 +0000 UTCThe best, or at least the most interesting, Halloween costumes I've seen was at a Halloween parade in Hamburg, PA. There was a guy there with his kids and he was dressed up as the Heath Ledger Joker. About halfway through the parade, one of the marchers, dressed as Ronald McDonald, spots the guy and steps over to the side, and they talk clown shop talk for a few minutes. Wish I'd thought to take a picture.
