Anyway, while having insomnia last night it hit me...Garfield isn't just fat and lazy, He's suffering from depression...the overeating, over sleeping, he even calls it a "deep blue funk" occasionally (or used to when I read the strip 250,000 years ago).
QotD: What fiction character would you diagnose with what phycological disorder?

The entire "Peanuts" crew. Pick any for a different psych disorder. Charlie Brown has an inferiority complex. Lucy is a narcissus. Linus has delusions about a great pumpkin. Pig Pen a water eversion. Don't even get me started with Peppermint Patty and Marcie. Oy vey....

I don't think I can think of any form of "entertainment" that doesn't rummage through the darkness of the human psyche for fun and games. (Even more true of "reality" shows. And don't even get me started on "Doctor" Phil.) But if I have to choose, I'd go with Dustin... (from the Dustin strip?)...and say Peter Pan Syndrome. And his parents need to give him the ultimatim--get a job, or get out.
